Dear Friend!

I am headed on a mission trip to Narok, Kenya with the Hope Venture from Lincoln, Nebraska. We have a team of eleven flying out on June 21st and returning on July 5th. The purpose of the trip is to lead a summer camp for the Student Sponsorship Project, which will include over 300 hundred students this summer. We will spend time together, play games, and have fun, all while discussing how God is working in our lives. I am really looking forward to being able to impact these kids' lives through hanging out with them and being an example of Jesus to them. I am also super pumped to experience a culture different from the American lifestyle. As you may know, I am about to complete my first year at Boyce College. In several of my classes, including “Introduction to Christian Missions” and “Personal Evangelism,” I have learned a little about how much cultures can differ in their day to day life!

There are a couple of ways in which you can support me in this trip! First of all, please pray for my own heart's preparation in going to Narok and meeting these people, that myself and my fellow team members would be humble in our interaction with them and that we would seek to learn from them. In addition, please pray for the safety of our travel and our adventures in Kenya. 

Finally, all the members of the team need to raise their own funds of $3,000. After prayerfully considering if God is calling you to donate to my account, there are two ways in which you can donate:

  1. You can mail a check to 315 S 9th St Suite #200 Lincoln, NE 68508. The check can be made out to “The Hope Venture,” and place “Kenya - Evan Parker” in the memo line.
