Although SOME of my dreads have been cut, we still have time to send 500 kids to school! 

Hello to my dear friends & family! I am thrilled for you to join me in fundraising for children in India. After three years of life with dreads, I'm hoping I can use this simple hair cut to change lives. This hair has been to India 3 times with The Hope Venture, and I've been profoundly impacted by their work in that corner of the world. Because of my experiences in India, I am directly supporting the Hope Venture's Backpack Project. 

I've been able see first hand how the simple gift of a backpack can deeply and dramatically change lives. For many families, access to education is impossible without outside support. When your family barely has enough money to eat, school supplies falls far down the list of priorities. That means that many children are denied access to school, because they lack the necessary supplies. 

The Hope Venture has strategically forged relationships with partners in India who are directly involved with the children in need. They are aware of the families specific situations and understand how your donations can be most beneficial. This model ensures that children are receiving the supplies and support they need. I've met these partners face to face. I've seen them bring new life into the slums across India. I trust their efforts, as I've seen countless lives effectively changed. 

An easy $10 donation covers one backpack for one child. I want to go big. I'm looking far and wide for people to join me in supporting 500 kids to finally attend school. That's just 50 bucks from 100 people. I'm confident that together, we can reach $5,000 dollars for 500 children. 

Even though the fundraiser party where a portion of dreads got chopped already occurred, please consider donating whatever amount you are able!
